Federal Level NYSRA works alongside the National Restaurant Association to represent New York’s interests in Washington. Recent wins include helping shield most restaurants from new corporate taxes under the Inflation Reduction Act.
State Level
NYSRA has strengthened its relationship with Governor Hochul’s office and helped drive major reforms to outdated liquor laws. They’ve also successfully opposed harmful legislation like the SWEAT Act and supported measures that benefit caterers and operators.
City Level
In NYC, NYSRA played a key role in making outdoor dining permanent and eliminating burdensome vaccine mandates for indoor dining. They also helped cap third-party delivery fees and partnered with the mayor to ease fines on small businesses.
As the largest foodservice trade association in the U.S., the National Restaurant Association advocates for federal policy that protects and empowers restaurant businesses of all sizes. From labor law reform to tax policy, they shape the future of the industry nationwide.
